Engineer a Different Future
A Father and Son's Journey to Rethink Autism Employment
What began as one father's determination to build a better future for his son became a journey to challenge how we think about autism, ability, and meaningful employment.
Discover the story, lessons, and ideas behind a different approach to inclusion.
The Question That Changed Everything.
What happens when a child with autism becomes an adult? What opportunities will they have, and who will be there to support them?
For Ling Huang, these questions were deeply personal. As his son Brian approached adulthood, Ling began looking beyond education and traditional support systems to understand what meaningful independence could look like. Drawing on his experience as an engineer, entrepreneur, and father, he set out to challenge the systems surrounding autism employment.
Engineer a Different Future follows that journey, from early uncertainties and unexpected discoveries to building real employment opportunities and finding a new way to think about inclusion.
